You can’t lose what’s inherently yours

There’s a tendency to think we need to gain them, hard work to get to these things that are inherently in our being, our core. Sure, we may need to do the work to uncover them, but that’s different from the striving, “getting” mindset. Resting and knowing what is within us is good and must also be naturally uncovered or allowed to emerge and bloom, comes from a place of security, rest and peace, and a relaxing back into our true deepest selves.

What if you couldn’t actually lose or alter your connection to God, to goodness? What if that was a birthright because of what you are? An extension of them? Flowing naturally from their veins as water from its source.

Inherent.

It means “existing in something as a permanent, essential or characteristic attribute.” Or “vested in someone as a right or privilege.

What is inherently ours? If we consider ourselves to be “creations” or coming from “god,” then what is our birthright?

What would you give your children if you were the perfect, all-knowing creator?

Would it be scraps? Leftovers? Anything less than the absolute best? How would you create them? With holes? Scrapes? Bruises? Or with the perfection and beauty and peace you yourself entailed.

What is inherently ours?

What if love wasn’t something that could be lost, something that could be tarnished or stained? Why do we believe that it could be?

What if God’s love were so secure, so unwavering, nothing could ever change or take that away? Not even our own thoughts or actions? What if Spirit’s decision and creative power were so strong that whatever they designed were unchangeable forever, including our existence as their perfect, beautiful creation? What if who we are is secure in them forever, unchangeable by what we do here, by our fears and failures? How would you live differently if you knew nothing could change your standing in Them? Would you rest more? Relax into the confidence that only comes from not having to try so hard? To worry about what might happen if you don’t do enough? What if you could let all of that go, knowing you’re secure?

Let us learn to live from a place of security rather than a place of fear and scarcity, of not-enoughness.

What if God made us… ENOUGH? Just as we are.

You cannot lose what is inherently yours
